Course Design & Student Engagement
Virtual Professional Development Program for Tri-County Technical College
Professional development workshops to help you prepare for the fall semester, create engaging learning experiences, and improve student learning.
Sponsored by the Office of Academic Development
Welcome to the professional development workshops for TCTC! I'm looking forward to working with you!
You get access to 2 online workshops to help you think about course design ideas and student engagement strategies in flipped, hybrid, online, and in-person courses.
Since there are so many uncertainties about the fall semester, the strategies featured in these workshops can be adapted to any of these learning environments.
The 2 workshops include a combination of self-paced modules and synchronous/live sessions. You may participate in the formats that work best for your goals and your schedule.
What's included? When you enroll and the workshops begin, you will get:
- Access to all modules, videos, worksheets, transcripts, and resources for both workshops. All live sessions will be recorded for you.
- Invitations to the live Q&A and peer review sessions to connect with colleagues and get feedback on your ideas.
- Access to the private discussion forum just for TCTC faculty and staff.
- The whitepaper "10 Strategies to Encourage Students to Do the Pre-Class Work in Flipped and Active Learning Courses."
- A copy of 2 of my e-books: 101 Ways to FLIP Your Online Course and The FLIP It Success Guide.
- Access to all resources and videos until August 31, 2020 so you have extra time to plan and prepare.
See the details below for information about each of the workshops.
NOTE: When you enroll, please make sure to use your Tri-County Technical College email address. You do NOT need to enter any payment information.
Thanks so much,
Barbi
